I’ve always had a passion for art and design. In High school, I originally wanted to be an animator and found myself in just about every art class imaginable. I also took classes like graphic design and digital media that really helped me develop skills with all the adobe programs and gain an eye for design. However, while I was pursuing animation there was always a piece of me that felt like something was missing. 

There’s an old story handed down by an old Cherokee Chief who told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. “The battle is between two wolves,” he said. “One represents evil. The other good.” The grandson thought for a minute and asked, “Grandfather, which wolf wins?” the old Cherokee Chief then replied, “The one you feed.”

I feel this story is a great way to help visualize how I ended up getting into UX Design. Except instead of the wolves being good and evil, for me, they represented the right and left part of the brain. One side longing for creativity and the other wanting more critical thinking.
So, which wolf did I end up feeding? The answer, is both! Yes, it could be considered cheating but I’m alright with that.

Now my two wolves coexist in the world of UX like yin and yang. My passion for art finds me crafting visual delights. While as a problem solver, I’m ready to tackle any project, no matter how crazy the idea.
